Who Am I:

 

As a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), I am able to provide a comprehensive mental health assessment and medication management. It is my belief that collaborating with patients and families can result in better outcomes and satisfaction. I am passionate in partnering with clients to develop realistic goals. Typically, appointments may be more frequent until we establish stability.

 

I provide brief supportive therapy and medication management. When indicated I use genetic testing to optimize ideal medication for you. I look forward to being a partner in your healing journey. 

 

I am a member of the Association of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses (AAPPN) and the participate in the Washington State Prescription Monitoring Program. I also am a certified rehabilitation nurse that works with clients with physical disabilities at a local hospital.

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (ADHD)

  • Bipolar

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)

  • Insomnia

  • OCD

  • Substance Use Disorder

  • Quit Smoking

  • Suboxone Home Induction/Maintenance

  • Alpha Stim

  • SPECT screening

  • PMHNP from the University of Cincinnati in 2019.

  • Doctor in Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Rocky Mountain Health Professions in 2014.

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with the specialization of nursing education from Walden University in 2007.

  • Bachelor Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Washington in 1993.

 

Work experience:

  • 2019- worked as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Lacey, Washington.

  • Nursing Shared Leadership Committee.

  • From 2007-2016, worked as a part-time nursing teacher and obtained tenured faculty at Seattle area local colleges. Nursing Assistant Director and Interim Nursing Director. Curriculum committee. 

 

Past Volunteer Activities:

  • Sea Mar Community Christmas Service 2014.

  • Abused Deaf Women Advocacy Services (ADWAS) 2002.

  • Parent Infant Program (PIP) at the Hearing Speech and Deafness Center in Seattle 2002-2005.
